The Rocky Mountain Golden Girls Baton Academy is under the direction of nationally renowned baton twirling instructor, Yvonne Pedersen. The corps has quickly developed into one of the top children’s performing groups in Colorado, and is based in the Front Range communities of Fort Collins, Windsor, and Loveland. This program offers traditional, clean fun for twirlers between the ages of 4 and 18 years in our community, with plenty of rewards! We’re now currently 70 members strong, and new students are being accepted.
Baton Twirling is a sport enjoyed by thousands of twirlers around the world. In addition to top-class twirling skills, the Golden Girls program focuses on disciplined drilling, marching, and LOTS OF GREAT DANCE! Yvonne believes strongly that baton twirling is much more than twirling a metal stick, and as such, she works very hard with every child to improve their confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and leadership skills, in addition to coordination, self-esteem, grace, poise, showmanship, and rhythm.

The Golden Girls perform at a variety of venues, including parades, festivals, sporting events, and competitions. Click here to see our 2012 scheduled events.
