2009 Greeley Stampede 4th of July parade
On July 4th, 2009, the Rocky Mountain Golden Girls Baton Academy marched in the Greeley Stampede 4th of July parade. Our group was formed less than 1 year ago, and yet, out of over 100 entries, the Golden Girls won the honor of “Best Overall Entry”!! See the pictures below, and perhaps you’ll understand why the corps was awarded the top prize!
The parade began at 9:00a.m., and although the weather was very pleasant for mid-summer, the girls were exhausted after marching, dancing, and twirling for a little over 1.5 miles!
Our next parade is on Wednesday, July 29th at 6:30p.m. – the Larimer County Rodeo parade in downtown Loveland. Come watch and cheer us on!
Here are some photos to bring a little patriotism to your day. God Bless America!
Presenting the "Best in Parade"!
